Full Root-level Access
What exactly is "Full Rool-level Access"? Does it really offer you complete & full control over a hosting server?
Having full root-level access means that you will be able to access and modify every file on a particular server, in addition to all system files, and to change system settings or install server-side software which may be required by certain scripts and even offline apps in order to function properly. A server is accessed at the root level through a root user, which has full privileges to do any of the aforementioned things. The root user can also make other users. For safety reasons, you are advised to have a separate account for everyday tasks and to use the root account only if you actually need to perform a task on the website hosting server. The root-level access feature offers you full control over your server from any existing location, given that you have the user credentials.

Full Root-level Access in VPS Hosting
Our
Linux VPS hosting packages come with different levels of access, in order to give you the option to choose the one you need, depending on your level of experience and on what you need the server for. When you get a VPS without Control Panel, you'll have full root-level access and you will control everything through a console, unless you install a third-party software instrument. The servers that are ordered with the DirectAdmin or the cPanel web hosting Control Panel also feature full root access, yet most of the things which are related to your web content can be done with a graphical interface and not a console. You can install different frameworks or media streaming software, for example, without any problems. If you get the virtual website hosting server with the Hepsia Control Panel, you may still use a Secure Shell console to connect, however, the root access is limited. Yet, the Hepsia-equipped servers are the easiest to take care of.

Full Root-level Access in Dedicated Web Hosting
You will have full root-level access to your
dedicated server regardless of what plan you select throughout the signup process, as long as the server is provided with cPanel or DirectAdmin, or without website hosting Control Panel at all. In each of these 3 cases, you will be able to modify any part of the software environment in any way you find fit, that makes our server plans perfect for resource-demanding applications with specific requirements that can't be covered when you use a shared web hosting account. The difference between these options is that using cPanel or DirectAdmin, you'll have a web-based graphical interface to take care of many different server-side options and any website content that you generate or upload, whereas when you order the server without a Control Panel, you will have to perform everything using a Secure Shell console or to install a Control Panel of your liking, if it's compatible with the Operating System that you've selected throughout the sign up process. With the last Control Panel option which you will be able to pick on our order page - Hepsia, the root access is restricted.
